This Tuesday I went to the Andrew Bird show at the W.O.W Hall in Eugene. I have to say, it was one of the best shows I have seen there.Before the show we hung out at my brother's new apartment. He gave me a Bruce Springsteen record, A Jonathan Richman record, a smashed penny from the Grand Cooley dam, and his roommate Josh gave me some neat paper things he had got in Taiwan, for which I left a thank you note on the back of a fortune that said "you are a happy man".
So the show was good. I met my friend Laura and her friend, I forget his name but he was totally rocking a neck beard. The warm up bands were both really good. Dosh, who kind of reminded me of Yacht. Cass McCombs were really good, despite their first song, w
hich had a crazy metal lick. While they were playing, I asked Andrew to sign my library card, and I kind of made an ass out of myself because I was shaking when he handed me the cap to my pen. He played most of my favorite songs, the only one I really wanted to hear that he didn't do was Masterfade.
